It’s the dead of winter, and it isn’t just the weather that can be chilling. When a visiting cross-country skier goes missing right before a snowstorm hits, dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, and her beloved German Shepherd, Willow, are called out to find him.

When they do, they discover that they’re seconds too late – a masked stranger murders the skier right in front of them. Horrified, Eve and Willow shed their gear in a hurry and run for their lives.

Lost and cold, they barely make it back to the cabin where they started their search before hypothermia sets in. The realization hits Eve that they now face a new set of problems.

Chances are good that the killer is one of the people the skier was vacationing with, and Eve is trapped in the cabin with them until the weather clears and the roads are passable again.
